When will I hear from someone regarding the position(s) I've applied for?

The Human Resources Department or hiring manager will review all the candidate resumes received. They will then choose the most qualified candidates for an interview. If it is determined that your qualifications match our current needs, you will be contacted as soon as possible. You will not be contacted if you are not chosen for an interview.

What does it mean if I do not hear from anyone after a few weeks?

There are several reasons why you may not receive a call for an interview. The reasons may be:

  1. An internal candidate has applied and is the primary candidate. At AH, we encourage the career development of internal staff. So, we typically place an internal candidate above an equally qualified external candidate.
  2. While you may have met the minimum qualifications for the position, other candidates had more experience than you did. An example may be that a candidate has medical terminology and 2 years of experience vs. another candidate that has medical terminology and 6 months of experience.
  3. Your experience and skills did not match the requirements of the position.
