- Athol Hospital Emergency Department and Medical Office Building Groundbreaking Ceremony
April 18, 2017
An Emergency Department and Medical Office Building Groundbreaking ceremony and Fulfilling Our Promise Campaign kick-off will be taking place on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 10 - 11:30 am on the front lawn at Athol Hospital.
This major capital project will accommodate our growing patient populations and provide state-of-the-art facilities to address the most prevalent health needs of our residents, at one location. Our new Emergency Department will double the capacity of our current space, and will include eight dedicated acute care rooms, and six private behavioral health rooms, along with many other enhancements that will transform our facilities to the current industry standard of care.
The upper floors of the new Medical Office Building will house new medical office space allowing for a full array of services including specialty care, primary care, and behavioral health care provided on one campus and under one roof. This project will also be complemented by the development of the new Family Medicine Practice and Walk-In Care Center located at the Market Basket Plaza, opening this summer.
Heywood Healthcare’s leadership and Board of Trustees look forward to sharing this historic event with the residents of the North Quabbin region.
